Premier Designs!

A few weeks ago I had the privilege to attend a Premier Designs Jewelry Party hosted by an old friend of mine, Ashley Marie. I got to bring some girlfriends along and we had a great time figuring out what our true style is, catching up and of course shopping for new pieces! It was fun...and the best part was, of course, narrowing down our choices. She had so many styles for us to see in person, play with and try on. I wanted to share with you guys the two awesome pieces my cousin and I purchased. They are great! Very versatile, great quality, and best of all...it fits our individual personality!

My choice: "Main Event" necklace
(pearls, chains & beads)

My cousins choice: Beautiful Long Beaded necklace
(wear it simple, double it up, or even layer with other pieces)

To Buy your own Premier Designs, book your own Jewelry party, or even become a jeweler yourself...Check out Ashley Marie on her Facebook..http://www.facebook.com/PinMeUpAshley or email her at AshleyM.Neal@gmail.com

Oh So LUSHessss!

My New Favorite store....LUSH! It's a company that sells Fresh handmade cosmetics....soaps, scrubs, lotions, hair products, lip products, bath bombs, face masks etc. Items to treat yourself, relax, and pamper your skin. EVERYTHING LOOKS SO DAMN COOL! All different textures, colors and smells. You can see the ingredients in the products, they shape them into cool shapes and the colors are amazing. It's one of those stores that you just wanna touch EVERYTHING! The next best thing would be if half of the products were edible, lol, being that they look so yummy. I went twice in one week and this is what I picked up........

My First Purchace
Top to Bottom: "Sex in the Shower" Emotibomb
"Godiva" Shampoo Bar
The Emotibomb is like a bathbomb but for showers...this one is made of ginger, rose and jasmine.
The shampoo bar is made of jasmine and nut oils (suppose to give you 60-80 uses)

And they give you the "Lush Times" to read all about their products. I found something else I wanted to try so that brought me in a second time...lol

Top to Bottom: "Brazened Honey" face mask
"Ocean Salt" exfoliating scrub
and a sample of there "jungle" solid hair conditioner
Face Mask made of Almonds, lime, ginger and honey.
Scrub is made of sea salt, vodka infused limes, and avocado butter

Lush invents ALL their own products and are made of fresh organic fruits and vegetables from all around the world....and they hand make everything, no machines or robots! They only use ingredients and work with companies that DON'T TEST ON ANIMALS! They also try to be as eco-friendly as possible in every way. most of there products in the store are un-packaged and displayed naked and they try to use recycled paper and packaging when needed. Oh, and they try to reinvent liquid products into solids to avoid having to create bottles and packages and create less waist for the earth. For example, shampoo and conditioner bars not bottles....I'm Obsessed!

Check out one of their stores or online to see what I'm talking about....and tell me what you think!
(pssss...New store in the Cherry Hill Mall!)

Pon De Floor vs Run The World ?/?

So Beyonce comes out with her single, "Run The World" and everybody wants to pin point where the beat is from? It's "Pon De Floor by Major Lazer. For those who don't know, Major lazer consists of DJ Switch & Diplo and they both collaborated on Run the World. Beyonce is an amazing performer and she killed the performance on the Billboard Awards. But.....Run the world doesn't compare to Pon De Floor....although I'm sure that wasn't her intention being that they are two different songs. She probably just loved the beat and that's what artists do, they collaborate. So tell me what you think. Pon de Floor or Run The World? Cast your vote before the poll closes. I love the original but I don't hate Beyonce's version either. Look at the wardrobe and choreography in her video, she makes it hard not to like it.

Vote and Enjoy the music!

One of the best museum exhibits I have seen so far! So Sunday, Darnel and I went to see the Roberto Capucci Exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We wanted to see it when it first opened, never got around to it, and then saw that it won't be there for long and finally went to see it. Wow! I was in awe the entire time. They have soooo many dresses to see, videos and even some of his fashion sketches in the exhibit. Unfortunately, I couldn't take pictures so I did my best to bring you what I could and I looked up some of the dresses featured at the exhibit to show you what to expect. This is definitely a MUST SEE, and its only up until June 5...so don't miss out!

Enjoy!

The main entrance to the museum. Love it!
The entrance to the exhibit. The only pic I could take inside.
(The bags from the gift shop were inspired by this dress! Look for it towards the end.)

His designs were so detailed and time consuming, that after he made a name for himself, he started making what he calls "sculptures", not made to wear fashion. He didn't replicate his designs. They were made as art work just to enjoy looking at. Amazing!

Found these on the museums website. Some Cool behind the scene photos. Shows the floor plan, the un-packing of the garments, and all the planning and work it takes to put up an exhibit.

(Check out the bag and then look at the first dress I show in the beginning. How Cool is that?)

Just reading my Roberto Capucci book, lol. Only $30 at the gift shop.

And lastly, I found this video "Project Capucci Student Design Competition."

He's so Inspiring! Enjoy the video.

So this is only a glimpse of what you are going to miss out on if you don't check this exhibition out. Super inspiring for anyone in or looking into a career in fashion. Or if you just love great art, then this is for you too.
